The large area highlighted on the attached plan has been listed as a special housing area under the 3rd tranche of special housing areas released in May 2014.

The Housing NZ development of over 1 hectare at Thom Street could provide up to 130 - 180 new dwellings once complete. The first stage of new dwellings on the site will be finished over the next three years.
